Thank you to everyone who applied!
Pilot 1 Dental Access Collaborative
The Dental Access Collaborative is one of the five pilots under the San Francisco Dental Transformation Initiative Local Dental Pilot Project (SF DTI LDPP). In partnership with AFL Enterprises, the SF DTI LDPP is providing no-cost training and technical assistance to dental practices in San Francisco that serve or plan to serve Medi-Cal Dental pediatric patients 0-5.
Participating dental practices can learn how to implement efficient practice systems, create lasting changes, and provide preventive services to Medi-Cal Dental beneficiaries in a sustainable manner. Participating practices will get the opportunity to learn and practice skills to integrate continuous quality improvement in ongoing and daily work processes.
Over the course of the SF DTI LDPP, there will a total of 3 Dental Access Collaboratives. The first Collaborative began in 2019 and ended mid 2019. The second Collaborative began in late summer 2019 and ended spring of 2020.
The Preventive Teledentistry Collaborative, the third and final Collaborative, is a six-month initiative, beginning in June 2020, that will provide dental practices with opportunities to learn and practice the skills they need to integrate continuous quality improvement into their ongoing and daily work. With the help of their coaches and Collaborative faculty, teams will conduct small-scale tests of change and turn successful changes into standard practice to design high quality, reliable systems to deliver preventive services via teledentistry.
